Quotable!

We all have our favorite sayings. They might be “I’ll be back” or “I don’t think we are in Kansas anymore.” Then there are those quotes that are really meaningful (or quirky). I’m sharing a few of mine below. If you have a quote or two that you’d like to share, send them via the Contact button above. I’ll post them soon.

“When your heart speaks, take good notes.” (Judith Campbell)

“One thing I can tell you with absolute certainty: life can seem either very long or very short, according to how you live it.” (Paulo Coehlo, The Devil and Miss Prym)

Head Elf: “Hermey! Aren’t you finished painting that yet? There’s a pile up a mile wide behind you! What’s eating you, boy?”
Hermey: “Not happy with my work, I guess.” (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer)
This one just slays me.

“Can we all get along?” (Rodney King) It has almost been 20 years since the LA riots, it is quite something to watch the video of his speech so many years later. Clink on this link to see the YouTube video Rodney King link

Ones I share with my sister Dianne:
“Such a simple concept, yet so true: that which we manifest is before us; we are the creators of our own destiny. Be it through intention or ignorance, our successes and our failures have been brought on by none other than ourselves.” (Garth Stein, The Art of Racing in the Rain)

“This is what we call love. When you are loved, you can do anything in creation. When you are loved, there’s no need at all to understand what’s happening, because everything happens within you.”(Paulo Coehlo, The Alchemist)

Ones I share with my friend Coleen:
“Once travelling, it’s remarkable how quickly faith erodes. It starts to look like something else—ignorance, for example. Same thing happened to the Israelites. Sure it’s weak, but sometimes you’d rather just have a map.” (Leif Enger, Peace Like A River) Oh, how I love the map reference!

“There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.” (Nelson Mandela)
