Words You Hate & Where’s Your Car?

Words People Hate
I tuned in to one of the popular San Diego radio stations and heard the DJs talk about words that people hate. I only caught the end of the show so I googled the topic when I got home. Many of the words that fall into the “hate” category are related to medical conditions that are, in my squeamish opinion, really gross. So gross in fact that I don’t want to repeat them here. Just google “words people hate” and you’ll find them.

The number one word on all the lists is the word “moist.” For some reason, that one doesn’t bother me. The word I hate is “panties.” I have hated it since childhood. The “p” word made it on all the lists so I am not alone on that one. I’m curious…what word do you hate? To let me know, click on the contact button at www.valsroad.com. Park Your Car Outside?
Recently, the evening news reported a story about burglars who broke into a car parked on the street. The burglars found a garage door opener in it and aimed it at various houses until a garage door opened. This all happened in the middle of the night while the unsuspecting family slept. Any items of value in the garage were stolen.

With the storage issues we have in San Diego (no cellars or usable attics), many people use part of their garage as an extended closet. The result is many of us have to park a car in the driveway or on the street. This is true for my household.

Want to sleep better at night? Bring your garage door opener into the house with you unless you have a reliable guard dog. Also, lock that door from your house into the garage.

Keep them together.
